Nicsa Announces Personnel Change

By Nicsa posted Dec 04, 2019

Marlborough, MA, October 17 -- The Board of Directors of the National Investment Company Service Association (NICSA) announced today the departure of Barbara Weidlich, who is leaving the organization after 6 years as President, effective immediately. The Board expressed its appreciation for her many contributions, and for leaving the organization in a strong position with regard to programs, staffing and financials.

Peggy Schooley, President of Evergreen Service Company as well as Chairman of NICSA, said, "We are taking this opportunity to examine the operating structure of NICSA to insure that we are positioned to best serve our members, and to that end, have created an Operating Committee consisting of current and past Board Members, who will also be responsible for selecting Barbaras replacement." In the interim, Keith Dropkin, Vice President of Operations at NICSA, will handle day-to-day responsibilities, reporting to Peggy Schooley and the Executive Committee of the Board.

"We are confident that the current interim operating structure will enable NICSA and its staff to continue to offer all programs and conferences as planned until a successor is named. Keith and the NICSA staff are knowledgeable about all aspects of NICSAs operations, and their tenure and experience will ensure the continued excellence of NICSAs offerings in their usual effective manner," said Schooley.
