Nicsa Announces 2014 Winners Of Blackwell Scholarship Awards

McLean, VA, February 10, 2014–NICSA announces the winners of NICSA / William T. Blackwell Scholarship Awards. Awards in 2014 ranged from $5,000 to $10,000 and include access to mentoring support.

This year's scholarship recipients are as follows:

Katherine Bareman--Western Washington University

Ashwini Basker--University of Denver

Dominic Ferrante--Harvard College

Emily Gao--University of Pennsylvania

Sean Hannigan--Bentley College

Devyn White--Baylor University

NICSA also acknowledges the generous support of DST Systems, Inc., Boston Financial Data Services and State Street Corporation for the NICSA / William T. Blackwell Scholarship Fund with their leadership contribution of $10,000.

The NICSA / William T. Blackwell Scholarship Fund was established as a tribute to Bill Blackwell’s commitment to education and to recognize outstanding students among children of employees at NICSA member firms. The program supports students pursuing degrees related to the global investment management industry during their junior and senior years of college with scholarship support and mentoring. The Blackwell Scholarship is a program managed by The Philanthropic Initiative (TPI), and housed within the Boston Foundation. For more information about the NICSA / William T.
