Iba And Nicsa To Co-sponsor Globalisation Of Investment Funds Conference

April 27, 2006 - Boston, MA and London, England -- The International Bar Association (IBA) has reached an agreement with the National Investment Company Service Association (NICSA) to co-sponsor a conference on the Globalisation of Investment Funds. The conference will take place in Bermuda at the Fairmount Southampton from Sunday, May 13, 2007 to Wednesday, May 16, 2007.

The IBA’s Investment Funds Committee began annual meetings in Bermuda in 1989, with the Investment Company Institute (ICI) serving as co-sponsor from 1992 to 2006, the conference this year will take place from 7-10 May. The 2007 conference represents the first sponsorship agreement between the IBA and NICSA, a not-for-profit trade association that provides educational programming, information exchange and networking opportunities for the worldwide investment industry.

“We appreciate the 15 years of close collaboration with the ICI on the Bermuda conference, and look forward to their continued support of the conference through active participation in its programmes,” said Robert Helm, chair of the IBA’s Investment Funds Committee. He added, “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with an outstanding industry association such as NICSA, an organization that has demonstrated commitment to the global funds industry. We look forward to working with them.”

Barbara Weidlich, President of NICSA said “The IBA is the premiere organization dedicated to promoting information exchange between lawyers worldwide, we look forward to cultivating a long and productive relationship with IBA.
