Happy New Year from all of us at Nicsa! As we embark on 2022, I’d like to share some exciting updates and provide a look back on some of our most popular member resources.
Among our many accomplishments was the ability to stay nimble and responsive to member needs. A successful pivot to streaming content in the face of the global pandemic brought our flagship General Membership Meeting as well as our first Digital Innovation Summit to the desks of employees across our member firms. Reaching more members, across more business verticals, and across management levels has been a silver lining in a challenging year that has resulted in enhanced engagement among the Nicsa community. The content produced by our volunteers at each of these events was excellent, and I urge you to visit the archives if you missed the real time sessions (available to employees of registrant firms).
I am pleased to share that we launched our first professional development program this year, Nicsa Accelerator. Our first course, Inclusive Leadership for High Performance, is facilitated by certified instructors and is ideal for industry professionals who want to elevate the way they lead and drive performance. Our first class begins February 8 and spots are still available!
We’ve been keenly focused on supporting the breadth and depth of the industry we all serve. We expanded membership across all Committees in 2021 and added a few new ones to our line-up. To highlight one such initiative, an International Committee was established to provide our members with a platform to collaborate on effectively navigating global distribution practices and local regulatory issues.
We’ve also been busy expanding the breadth of our content offerings. We developed a new video channel, dedicated to bringing you timely, digital content straight from our subject matter experts and your peers. Bookmark and check back often for updates and event highlights.
Looking ahead, we have an exciting opportunity to reconnect and reimagine our future—Nicsa will be hosting our Strategic Leadership Forum in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida in March of 2022 and we hope you can join us. As an optimist at heart, I welcome 2022 in anticipation of prosperity and opportunity for our valued Nicsa members and I look forward to seeing you at the SLF in March.
With gratitude for your support and best wishes for the new year.
Sincerely,
Jim Fitzpatrick
President & CEO, Nicsa
