Nicsa Connect Newsletter

Happy New Year! I, along with the Nicsa team, wish you and your families a healthy and
prosperous 2021.

Certainly, the global asset management industry endured an incredible sea change over the course of the last twelve months. Through it all, the Nicsa team and the hundreds of member volunteers that make up our committees worked tirelessly to create a superior member experience, to deliver insights on best practices, and to build a platform upon which members connect and collaborate. Together, we shared more learning opportunities on more topics than ever before. In an unprecedented and at times ominous year, I am proud to have witnessed the industry rise to the challenge, and pleased to see that enhanced investor value, sound business modeling, and authentic engagement emerged from the turmoil.

And, we are more than ready for 2021. A focus on topics such as DEI, product development, technology innovation, digitization and the use of analytics has led to an array of new content offerings at Nicsa. I urge you to visit our Knowledge Center to peruse the educational content prepared by our many and varied committees. For Nicsa’s view on trends in the new year, read “Nicsa President: The Themes That Will Define 2021 in Asset Management” from Fund Intelligence.

With a month until the annual Strategic Leadership Forum, we are happy to share this write-up about the unfolding plans and agenda: Strategic Leadership Forum Planning Underway: Relationships Take Center Stage. Attendees from a host of disciplines across the industry are invited, including product and distribution, compliance, operations, data analytics, technology and diversity & inclusion. Your attendance and engagement are what makes our conferences the fantastic events they are! We hope to see you there. Click here to learn more.

Lastly, I am extremely pleased to have announced in December the winners of the 2020
Nicsa NOVA Awards, which recognize excellence in innovation and leadership within the
asset management industry. Congratulations to all of our honorees, who exemplify Nicsa’s
core mission and demonstrate dedication, excellence, and leadership within the global asset management community. Read the press release, Nicsa Honors Industry Leaders With 2020 NOVA Awards.

Sincerely,
