1998 NICSA/William T. Black Scholarship Awards

NICSA Chairman George J. Gorman announced the names of the recipients of the 1998 NICSA/ William T. Blackwell Scholarships at the May General Membership Meeting in Boston. Four students were selected by the Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of America from an outstanding field of applicants and each will be awarded a $5000 scholarship for post secondary education.

The 1998 recipients of the NICSA/William T. Blackwell Scholarship award are:

Megan M. Cross, of Pembroke, MA. Megan plans to attend Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, majoring in Pre-Medicine. Her NICSA member parent is Gerd A. Cross of State Street.

Hayden Gallary, of Wellesley, MA. Hayden plans to attend Yale University in New Haven, CT, majoring in Mathematics. His NICSA member parent is Peter H. Gallary of Putnam Investments.

Alexander B. Kruglov, of Newton, MA. Alexander plans to attend Brown University in Providence, RI. His NICSA member parent was the late Boris Kruglov of Evergreen Service Company.

Jimmy H. Sun, of Wellesley, MA. Jimmy plans to attend St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO, majoring in Biology/Medicine. His NICSA member parent is Geraldine N. Sun of DST Systems, Inc.

Established by the Board of Directors in May of 1995 as a tribute to Bill Blackwell's commitment to NICSA and to the mutual fund industry, the NICSA/William T. Blackwell Scholarship Fund is endowed through donations by individuals and NICSA member companies.
