The NICSA/William T. Blackwell Scholarship Fund
A Scholarship within the Boston Foundation

How to Apply

The NICSA/William T. Blackwell Scholarship Fund has been established as a tribute to Bill Blackwell’s commitment to education and to recognize outstanding students of the NICSA family with financial support for post-secondary education.

Bill is remembered for not only his long career at State Street Bank in Boston and as President of the National Investment Company Service Association but also for the honesty and integrity that he displayed in his business and personal life.

Working together with Scholarship America, the Boston Foundation assures that the intent and spirit of NICSA and William T. Blackwell will be carried out and maintained. One of the oldest community foundations in America, the Boston Foundation is a public charity that provides support for nonprofit organizations.

Scholarship America, a national nonprofit educational support and student aid service organization, manages The NICSA/William T. Blackwell Scholarship Fund and ensures that applicants are selected without regard to race, color, creed, religion, gender, disability, or national origin. Scholarship America seeks to involve and assist the private sector in expanding educational opportunities and encouraging educational achievement.
